Famous mines in Oisans Bourg D’Oisans, on the road to Villard Notre Dame, the mine of La Gardette In the Taillefer range, at Le Cornillon, in the valley of Treuil, and the mine at Oulles Alpe D’Huez, the famous Brandes mine On the road to the ski resort, at Maronne, le Ribot, the Pic de l’Herpie and Lac Blanc Above Allemont in the Belledonne range, the Challanches mine. The first gold lingot was forged in the Royal Fonderie at Allemont Close to Allemont, the galleries of the iron mines of Articol Les 2 Alpes, the Plan du Lac and the Fee Auris en Oisans La Garde, in the hamlet of Armentier Vaujany, above la Villette, near the Col du Couard Oz en Oisans, in the hamlet of Bessey, the Poutraud mine La Grave, at the Grand Clot Today we are still uncovering new minerals in the area.
